Well we all should be very proud of Mykal, he was such a good boy and a big boy as well, he slept all night in his big boy bed. Well ok he woke up at 1:30 (which with the time change he thought it was 2:30 which is his normal time) and I fed him then he woke up at 6 and I put his pacifire in his mouth then I went to the bathroom and by the time I got out he had already fallen back to sleep. Then he woke up at 7 which I then gave him a small bottle and he slept till almost 10:15. He is being such a good boy.

Well as you prolly all know I have not been getting much sleep in my bed, well last night I was able to sleep in my bed the entire night. YAY. Mykal woke up twice to be fed and I actually didn't fall asleep while I was feeding him. I think a lot that had to do with it was he only woke up twice. Anyway he has been doing great with his bottle feedings and I know some people are going to be upset with me but I think what I am going to do is slowly give him one more bottle a day till all his day feedings are bottle but I will still breast feed him at night. I think it will be easier to pop out a boob then to try and measure out formula for a bottle in the middle of the night. This way he will still be getting some nutrients from me and I will have the freedom that bottles give you. That and I have experienced breast feeding and will comtinue to do so and with bathing suit season comming I don't want to have to worry about leaking while I am in my bathing suit and I wont have to pull out my boob pads either. I know I am being selfish.

Well I have started to give Mykal formula bottle just to get him used to taking a bottle for when we travel. Also so other people can feed him, like when we want to go out to dinner and get a sitter for the little guy. I started out with just one bottle in the morning at around 10:30ish. Which he has been doing great with. And tonight I started him with the second bottle to put him to bed and boy did it work. He was out in no time at all. I can only hope that what everyone says is true and he will sleep longer for me. Then maybe I can sleep in my bed for longer than an hour.....hehe. I wouldn't change a thing about any of it.

Well as you all know Mykal took his first trip out of state. We went over to see Aunt Sherri and to see the damage from the hurricane's. It is great to see people with such good spirits considering all of the damage. I have never and hope to never see anything like I did there. Everything was is such a state of devastation but they are starting to rebuild and each day there hopes get that much higher. The communities pulled together and helped one another. But on to a happier note Mykal did great the entire time. The drive over was great and it was nice and sunny as well as the trip back. He is one tired little man now and sleeping soundly.

My poor little man got his first boo boo tonight. I sat him up to burp him and he scratched his face. Now I know most baby's do it when they are first born but he didn't and I was so proud because I didn't even use those mittens. All this time and nothing and now he has a cut across his cheek and it even bled a little.

Well I am hoping that Mykal is not doing what some baby's do and get the day and nights mixed up. Well lets just say he might be off a little bit. Our night goes as follows, at 7ish we get a bath. Then Mommy feeds him till he goes to sleep which is usually around 8ish. Then around 1 he wakes up to be fed at which time Mommy brings him out to the living room and falls asleep with Mykal feeding. At around 2 Mommy wakes up and tries to put Mykal down and of course he wakes up so Mykal gets to eat again but he goes to sleep pretty quick. Finally Mommy gets to put Mykal down and she goes in to bed. At 5 Mykal wakes up to play. Woo hoo. So Mommy gets up and feeds him and changes his wet diaper then puts him in the swing, then turns on one of his Cd's's. Mommy then has to lay down on the couch and she gets to go to sleep. Mykal finally goes to sleep and then wakes up at around 7:30. Mommy then gets up and brings Mykal to the couch with her and feeds him while they both slip off to sleep for just a little while longer. Finally at around 9ish he wakes up to be fed and then changed for the day. Its not that he is getting his times messed up but that 5 o'clock play time is killin Mommy.

Now we have Nanny and Mykal. When Nanny was down here she was a bunch of help. Helped Mommy lots and got her feeling comfortable to be alone with a new baby. Mykal sure does miss her...hehe.

Awwww ain't he soo sweet just sleeping away. He really likes to sleep on mommy. Sometimes I think too much because I have a hard time putting him down without him waking up and then the process starts all over again. But I will let him every once in a while. Can't really resist.
